FAQS
Don’t see your question? Just ask!
Absolutely! After photographing hundreds of weddings, I’m a great resource and guide for photo-related topics such as light, what to wear, and vendor recommendations. Specifically, I create a custom photography timeline based on your priorities and maximize all of the marvelous light. In addition, I have an outfit guide and a comprehensive wedding guide to soothe your fears and make the most out of your images.
I have A LOT. Here it is in no particular order!
It's your wedding day—stay true to who you are as a couple. Plan your day to maximize light but also your enjoyment. Photos are essential, but so are your memories. My style is photojournalistic, so you need to be fully engaged, lost in the moment, and have the time of your life for the best photos. Trust me to tell your story artfully and make you look beautiful. Figure out what type of photos are most important to you. Do you want all the details? Are you in it for the candids? Could you care less about staged family photos? Every couple wants something a little different, and we can build a timeline around what you value most. Plan for the best, but embrace the worst. No wedding ever goes completely as planned. Roll with what you're given and be happy that you married the love of your life.
There’s no such thing as bad weather—just changes in circumstances that should be embraced! I am a seasoned photographer and can shoot in any light, so I see "bad" weather as an opportunity rather than a letdown. Either way, it will be a unique experience you’ll never forget. If the weather is dangerous and might damage the gear or isn't safe, we can reschedule.
I average around 80 final images delivered per hour of shooting. I love to provide variety and never limit the number of photos I take. Every moment is precious, and I might not fully grasp what transpires in each picture or what it means to you. If you’d like to view some full wedding galleries, please just ask!
You're not alone in this worry. I approach each session and wedding differently depending on the couple. I tailor each experience to who you are, what you love, and what makes you unique. By getting to know you, I can help calm your nerves and put you in environments that feel natural to you as a couple. I like to draw out the little personality quirks that make you unique and direct your session in a way that emphasizes your natural interactions—no stiff posing. Most of my couples leave forgetting they were ever worried in the first place.
I do not use Photoshop to change the foundations of how someone looks—and that includes their shape and skin. I want to make you feel beautiful and empower you to see how the world sees you; perfectly imperfect. When you're 80 and look back on your photos, I want you to remember the real, not the edited version of memories. But yes, I will clear up minor skin imperfections and distractions.
I do not charge for travel to Houston, Dallas, Austin, or anywhere slightly in between if you book for 8 hours or above. However, I will charge extra for out-of-state, international travel, or weddings in Texas' far reaches. Please inquire for details.
I require 25% at the time of booking to reserve your date and another 25% three months later. The remaining 50% is due a month before the wedding date.
Deposits are non-refundable, but in the case of needing to reschedule, I’ll happily work with you to find another date. There is no additional charge for reserving a second date if the rescheduling is due to an act of God (COVID). However, there will be an additional charge for rescheduling for any other circumstance. Each wedding I have to reschedule means I lose the ability to book another couple. There are only so many days in a year, so thank you for understanding.
If I cannot make your wedding, I will find a replacement photographer whom I trust enough to shoot my own wedding. In the case of me or a replacement not being able to make your wedding, you would be fully refunded.
