British-Inspired New York Engagement Photos
Megan and Casey had such a fun dark academia engagement shoot at The Met Cloisters and at McNally Jackson Books! These two are such a beautiful couple, and it was a dream to capture their New York engagement photos. This was the first time I incorporated film during an engagement session, and I loved the turn out. The cloisters made it look like we were in England, and it was the perfect backdrop for a dark academia vibe. The location of your session can truly effect the outcome of your photos, and I think Casey and Megan’s New York engagement session is a true testament of that.
Megan & Casey’s Dark Academia British-Inspired New York Engagement Photos
The original plan was to have Casey and Megan’s New York engagement photos in Central Park. It was a rainy day in New York, so we pivoted to the Cloisters and the book store because of the rain. It’s so important that when it comes to your engagement session, you’re able to be flexible and embrace changes in the weather and a change in plans. It’s also important to be prepared for weather as well. Megan brought a trench coat which was perfect because of the rain, and it truly added so much to her look as well. I just loved exploring around the cloisters with Megan and Casey, and then heading over to the book store for some cute photos. I can’t wait to capture their upcoming wedding day next!
